Norfolk Island members have officially endorsed their Log of Claims, marking the first step towards negotiating a new Enterprise Agreement.

At a recent members’ meeting, the proposed claims were unanimously endorsed, with one amendment to strengthen the claim for a remote location allowance by including staff travel support.

The endorsed Log of Claims has now been formally submitted to Council.

Members Set Their Priorities:

  • 11.5% annual pay increases for three years, based on the Norfolk Island Retail Price Index (RPI).
  • No forced redundancies.
  • The introduction of RDO/flex leave to improve work-life balance.
  • A fair remote location allowance, including staff travel support, to help attract and retain skilled workers.
  • Delegates Elected

The meeting also elected USU delegates from two sections of Council, strengthening workplace representation as bargaining begins.

While only financial members were eligible to vote, prospective members were welcomed to observe the meeting. Workers who want a say in the Enterprise Agreement are encouraged to join the USU so they can participate in future votes and negotiations.
