Say hello to your USU workplace delegates from the Central West Branch!
Like all your union’s branches, our Central West Branch meets three times a year to discuss workplace issues, make decisions and hear about issues that are affecting their members.
External stakeholders Vision Super (formerly Active Super), Australian Mutual bank and Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers also attend so they can update us on industry news and new initiatives that our members could benefit from.
Our Central West branch meetings are run by USU South Region Manager, Gary Vann. Gary is joined by USU General Secretary Graeme Kelly OAM, USU Central West Organiser Shane Reece and USU South Region Industrial Officer Stuart Geddes.
Graeme’s attendance is always appreciated because not only does he provide comprehensive updates on USU matters, the broader union movement and the NSW Labor Party but he also attends every USU branch meeting across NSW, which means thousands of KMs of driving every couple of months.
If you’re based in the Central West and work in NSW local government, why not say hello next time you see your branch committee member? The photo below includes almost everyone on Central West BCOM and is captioned, if you have not already met them in your workplace, say hello and seek advice, ask questions about your conditions of employment, or ask about representation should you need it.
