The Workers Health Centre is a worker focussed injury management and workplace rehabilitation service which has a very close relationship with the union movement and members of unions. Staff are experienced qualified Allied Health Professionals and assist injured workers with rehabilitation and returning to work.
This year their staff attended the USU Conference to forge even closer relationships with members of the USU.
Given this is a first enterprise agreement, many of the conditions in the log of claim seek to include conditions that members already enjoy but are not protected by an enterprise agreement. The extensive log of claims which is suited to the small size of the Workers Health includes wage increases of 5.5% or CPI plus 1.5%, which ever is the greater, clauses for RDOs, work from home provisions, increases in employer superannuation contributions, and increases in personal and compassionate.
Negotiations have only recently commenced and USU Journal will be kept up to date on the progress of negotiations.
