Members recently forced an improvement to traffic control training for the safety of council employees who work on main roads in the Hunters Hill LGA.
Union members among the staff at Hunters Hill are rightly pushing to ensure that the Hunters Hill Joint Consultative Committee regain its former stature as a proper body of dialogue between staff/Union members, management and other unions, in relation to normal consultation regarding training, structure, and other subject matter for the committee as required by the Local Government State Award.
More work is needed – watch this space.
