USU member Bill has been a dedicated and entrusted employee of Newcastle City Council for 25 years. He has seen teams change, leaders come and go, processes and work evolve with the use of more machinery and even robotic mowers. Bill has worked in the same team for the past 15 years.
They say that a change is as good as a holiday, so Bill has decided to commence a new role with the City Presentation team, and to lock in a transition to retirement plan. The USU has been by Bill’s side for the past 24 years, so it was a pleasure to again be by his side during the next significant change in his career and ensure that this process went as smooth as possible. A tweak here, a highlight there, and a couple of honest conversations, there is now an agreement that Bill and Council are both happy with.
