Organisers launched their weekly site visits for 2026 in late January, marking the beginning of a busy and energised year across the Energy Branch. With visits spanning all distributors and Transgrid, feedback from members has been overwhelmingly positive. The most recent rounds have taken organisers through the Sydney Metropolitan area, Wollongong, and the Riverina, with more regions scheduled as the year unfolds. Members are encouraged to keep an eye out—your workplace may be next on the list.
Planning for the upcoming Agreement negotiations is well underway, and enthusiasm is running high. Officials, branch members, and delegates are working closely to shape a campaign that delivers meaningful outcomes for all members of the Energy Branch. The collaborative energy behind this effort reflects a shared commitment to securing strong, future‑focused conditions across the industry.
Members should also watch their inboxes as May approaches. As part of the broader Agreement campaign, officials and delegates are preparing to host an all‑Energy & Utilities town hall meeting via Microsoft Teams. With mid‑June emerging as the most suitable timing, the event will offer members a chance to hear updates, ask questions, and engage directly with those leading the campaign.
This year promises to be a significant one for the Energy Branch, with strong engagement, transparent communication, and member involvement at the heart of every step.
