USU Official Danielle Kelly and Delegates from Maitland City Council have held discussions with Council over the past six months after the membership raised an interest of an Enterprise Agreement.

As part of the survey results conducted by the USU, it was highlighted that the outdoor staff were seeking more flexibility as part of their employment conditions.

Whilst an Enterprise Agreement has not been agreed upon, Council have initiated a Flexible Work trial that will commence on July 1 which will give employees in the Civil & Recreation Works Sections the option to work either a 4-day working week or a 9-day fortnight.
