Members have strengthened their bargaining position through their participation and input for the City of Sydney (CoS) Award Log of Claims.
USU Officials have been busy engaging with staff by distributing flyers, holding discussions and encouraging new members, leading to 2 new indoor delegates and many new Union members. There are now 28 delegates at CoS with opportunities for more interested members to join in.
In addition, active members have shown dedication by assisting in flyer distribution and information sharing while delegates have actively contributed in meetings to discuss and implement member feedback, fostering a strong sense of unity.
We are proud of the participation and commitment members have demonstrated so far and look forward to the next steps of the negotiations. Mass meetings and teleconferences are scheduled to endorse the Log of Claims starting from the week commencing Monday, 27 May 2024.
