Members of the USU recently gathered at the Townsend Depot of the Clarence Valley Council. The meeting was organized by Delegate Rob Dugmore and Organiser Nicole Eldridge, to discuss the 3.5% pay increase that is set to take effect from July 1st, as well as the $1000 lump sum payment that some staff members are eligible for.

During the meeting, various options were discussed for those members who wished to deposit the $1000 into their superannuation. The Organiser had arranged with the Clarence Valley Council to create a form that could be accessed through the Council’s intranet. This form would help payroll to roll the $1000 into their superannuation accounts at a 15% tax rate.
