The United Services Union continues to strengthen member representation across the water sector with the appointment of new workplace delegates at Goldenfields Water and Riverina Water. These appointments reinforce the Union’s commitment to strong advocacy, fair treatment, and effective communication for all members in the region.

Goldenfields Water: Welcoming New Delegates

At Goldenfields Water, the USU is proud to welcome Jack Fuller and Eleni McCabe as newly appointed Workplace Delegates.

Jack stepped into the role following a recent call for expressions of interest and joins an experienced team of delegates who play a key role in representing members’ interests, particularly as preparations begin for upcoming Award negotiations.

Eleni has also been appointed as a delegate based in the Temora office. Bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role, Eleni’s appointment reflects the USU’s ongoing commitment to ensuring strong and accessible representation for all members, regardless of their work location.

The Union also extends its sincere appreciation to Nigel Marion for his many years of dedicated service to members at Goldenfields Water. Nigel will retain his delegate position while taking some time to explore other opportunities within the industry. His long-standing contribution to improving member outcomes and maintaining strong workplace advocacy is deeply valued.

At Riverina Water, the USU welcomes Chris Brettschneider as a newly appointed Workplace Delegate. Chris takes over from Phil McAlister, who served members with distinction through recent Award negotiations and during the successful campaign that delivered a 15% pay increase and major improvements to working conditions.

The Union thanks Phil for his commitment and tireless advocacy on behalf of members and wishes him well for the future. Chris now joins an experienced and active delegate team whose enthusiasm and commitment to fair representation will continue to strengthen member support and workplace communication.

USU Organiser Mick Jones welcomed the appointments, noting that the addition of new delegates demonstrates the continued strength and engagement of members across the region.

“Our delegates are the heart of workplace representation,” Mick said. “They ensure that every member’s voice is heard and that fair treatment and strong conditions remain central to how we work together.”

The USU congratulates Jack Fuller, Eleni McCabe, and Chris Brettschneider on their appointments and thanks Nigel Marion and Phil McAlister for their dedicated service.

Members are encouraged to extend their full support, cooperation, and respect to their workplace delegates as they take on these important roles in representing and protecting the interests of all USU members.
