Thanks and appreciation to the USU members of Central Coast Council who bought to our attention that Council was intending to pay, skill step increases and associated backpays in early 2026.
These increases were assessed in the period between July – October 2025 during performance reviews however Council didn’t feel it was a priority that their employees receive their pay increases before the end of the year, and in particular before Christmas.
The USU held conversations with Council regarding the importance of remunerating staff in an appropriate timeframe with Council agreeing to make this a priority.
These discussions have helped numerous families have a slightly bigger smiles to end 2025.
