City of Parramatta members have taken another important step toward improving work/life balance, voting at recent mass meetings to begin negotiations on enhanced flexi-time accrual for salaried staff.
This push follows the USU’s earlier win securing the 9-day fortnight for operational workers. Members are now aiming to extend meaningful flexibility across Council.
Union Representatives have formally written to Council requesting the establishment of a working group to explore practical changes that would allow staff to accrue additional flexi-time each week. The goal is for full-time workers to be able to accrue enough time for a day off each fortnight.
Improving flexibility will make a real difference for council staff and this latest move shows USU members are determined to keep shaping conditions that support a healthier balance between work and life.
