The NSW Local Government (State) Award vote has been counted by the Union’s Returning Officers Scott Peterson and Merv Muggleton overseen by independent scrutineer Thomas Costa, Assistant Secretary of Unions NSW.

The results are in, it’s a mighty YES with 98.39% voting to approve the new 2020 Award.

As of 26 June, the award has been officially ratified at the NSW Industrial Relations Commission, and will go into effect on or after the first pay period from July 1, 2020 for a period of three years.
