With fires ravaging New South Wales, the USU understand that a large amount of our members are affected by these disasters. This can be an extremely stressful time for anyone affected by these tragedies. The USU is committed to support our members in whatever we can through these hard times.

As a result the USU have prepared our membership services department to provide advice to members regarding their entitlements and relief options they may have through this crisis. If you need assistance they will be able to support you with any questions or concerns about the fires impact on you, your family, and your work. This includes any questions or concerns about safe work practices. If you need their assistance please call 1300 136 604.

If you have been financially impacted by the fires you can also apply for a temporary waiver of your union fees. Get in touch with us via our membership services hotline on 1300 136 604 or at united@usu.org.au

Also the government has recently announced financial assistance for those who have been impacted by the bushfires. If you need help please call the disaster relief hotline on 1802266 or go to their website https://www.humanservices.gov.au/individuals/help-emergency/bushfires
