Local government workers are standing together for fair pay and conditions.

The members pictured here are the winners of the USU’s Local Government Award photo competition, which invited workers across NSW to show their support for the ongoing Award negotiations and have the chance to win $500.

The winners at Waverley Council split the prize and each received a $100 prepaid Visa gift card as a small thank-you for getting involved.

 

The Local Government Award sets the foundation for your pay, conditions, leave, and work/life balance.

When members show up, whether that’s through a photo, a meeting, or a conversation with a delegate, it strengthens the Union’s position at the negotiating table.

As part of the campaign, the USU is holding an All-Worker Local Government Award Information Session, and all workers are encouraged to attend.
