In our last newsletter on January 15, we informed you that we had written to the company regarding our concern with the office closures and redundancies and that we were seeking a briefing and meeting with Auscript so to be informed of the details concerning the office closures.
The USU/ASU was informed by members on the afternoon of the 15 January 2020 of Auscript’s intent to close the Sydney, Hobart and Adelaide offices and of the resulting job losses.
The USU, your Union, lodged proceedings before the New South Wales Industrial Commission to seek orders to ensure Council upholds the redeployment process in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement.
You can all be very proud of the effort and achievement of your Union Delegates and employee bargaining representatives. They fought very hard to secure the best possible deal for you.
