USU Women @ Work support “It’s in the bag!”

You may have heard of the amazing charity Share The Dignity. This group collects essential feminine products for women who find themselves in situations where they cannot afford the essentials they need each month.

Every year this charity also organises the It’s In The Bag drive and this year the USU Women’s Committee wants you to help! It’s simple. All you need to do is get a handbag you no longer use that is still in good condition and fill it with essential items that any woman would be glad to have. You can even make a bag for a teenage girl – just tie a yellow ribbon on it so the organisers know it’s for a young woman.

Some things you can put in the bag include shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, sanitary items and anything else that you would consider an essential.

All you need to do is put your bag together and get it to your organiser or delegate. This is a small action that can change the world for someone.

All bags need to be to organisers by 15th November!
