Your new Local Government State Award was made today in the NSW Industrial Relations Commission and will come into effect on the first full pay period after 1 July 2023.
This follows months of negotiations and hundreds of member meetings held across NSW councils throughout May and June giving members the opportunity to vote on the new Award.
Members overwhelmingly supported the new Award and over the coming days full results and more details will be sent to members. A copy of the Award will also be made available.
We thank all of our members and especially our delegates for the support over the past months to ensure the best possible Award could be achieved for our members.
