We all learned this morning that the firm is intending to downsize General Law by entering negotiations with undisclosed principals to buy parts of the business.
Speculation about this has been rife for some time and now it is official.
Your USU/ASU delegates have demanded a meeting with human resources this Friday 9th February 2018 to understand what this all means and to insist on proper consultation which has not happened on this issue at all.
Staff have rights under the new enterprise agreements and we will not let this high handed approach to people and their jobs be unchallenged. Loyal frontline staff deserve better than being treated as numbers on a balance sheet.
We will then report back to you about what we find out possibly via meetings of members.
