Our members who work in NSW Ambulance Service Control Centres will be aware that the Union has been attempting to resolve a long running dispute with the Service surrounding the correct payment our members should receive when they work OVERTIME ON A PUBLIC HOLIDAY.

THE UNION AND THE SERVICE HAVE REACHED AGREEMENT TO SETTLE THIS DISPUTE.

Members who have worked overtime on a public holiday since February 2016 were incorrectly paid for those shifts they worked.

Very shortly those members will receive back pay for each of those shifts they worked.

The Service has advised the Union that it is their intention to pay the underpayment as soon as possible, we would expect that the payment will be made in the coming weeks. The Service has advised the Union that they will separate the underpayment from our members’ ordinary wage.

Your Union appreciates our members support as we progressed this dispute to this successful conclusion.

If you have any questions relating to this settlement, please contact our Organiser Rudi Oppitz at; roppitz@usu.org.au
