In just five years, Liverpool City Council staff have faced 33 restructures and reviews. Each one has brought stress, disruption, and uncertainty, leaving workers feeling like numbers on a chart rather than people with skills, families, and years of service.
On October 2nd, USU members said clearly: enough is enough. At a packed stop work meeting, indoor and outdoor staff stood shoulder to shoulder to demand respect, accountability, and an end to constant upheaval.
This action is only the beginning. Together with the USU, Liverpool workers are determined to hold management to account and fight for secure jobs and fair treatment.
