The results of the ballot for Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2020-23 were released last night and staffers have made an emphatic statement in voting it down.

58.8% SAY NO TO GOVERNMENT OFFER

The 58.8% no vote sends a clear message to the Government that their cynical attempt to institute an Enterprise Agreement that could actually reduce your current income, restricts progression and inadequately supports victims of domestic violence and modern families is not acceptable. Your Union thanks every Union member that voted no and worked to get the no vote up.

This is a great win for the Union and a great win for MOPS Staff. The Government will now be forced back to the bargaining table where your Union and bargaining representatives will continue to fight to get you a better deal. In the meantime the current enterprise agreement will continue to operate.
