Voting for the ASU Qantas EBA 11 starts at 9am EST on Monday 3rd October 2016 and the USU/ASU is recommending that you vote YES to accept this agreement.
This is the formal voting process required under the Fair Work Act and so even though USU/ASU members may have already voted in the USU/ASU’s internal process you still MUST vote in the Fair Work voting process for the EBA to be approved.
Members are urged to vote to register your agreement to this proposed EBA 11.
You have until 4pm EST on Wednesday 12 October 2016 to vote to approve this EBA.
How to vote YES
Voting for EBA 11 will be conducted online by an external company, Elections Australia Pty Ltd. This company has conducted ballots for our EBA on previous occasions.
Voting is accessed via the website www.myvote.com.au/qasu where you will be required to submit personal information to access the ballot paper.
You can access the website and vote from any computer with internet access.
You can only vote once.
Your vote remains secret and all information is destroyed at the completion of the ballot.
The question to answer is:
Do you approve the proposed Australian Services Union (Qantas Airways Limited) Enterprise Agreement 11?
❒ Yes – I approve the Agreement. Any problems?
If have difficulty logging onto the website or have internet access problems contact Qantas IR either by phone 02 9691 2009 or internally on extension 22009 or email ebaexchange@qantas.com.au.
What’s next?
If Qantas staff approve EBA11 then it must also be approved by the Fair Work Commission, this may take a few weeks to process. We will keep you posted on time frames.
