As of Monday 27 April 2020, Armaguard is limiting its operating hours down to four (4) days per week.

The USU was first advised of this on 20 April, with consultation to commence that day.

In turn the USU requested an urgent conference with Armaguard, which was held on 21 April 2020.

The USU expressed our concern and displeasure at the short time frame from notification to implementation and requested an extension which was not granted. So, we are pressed for time.

Armaguard has advised they will facilitate USU member meetings on paid time.

You are invited to attend the following on Thursday 23 April:

  • 12:30 to 1:30pm USU Teleconference
  • 3:00-4:00pm a meeting at the Wollongong branch
  • 3:00-4:00pm a meeting at the Rosehill branch
  • 5:00-6:00pm USU Teleconference

And on Friday 24 April:

  • Midday USU teleconference.

Details for how to participate in these meetings have been emailed to members. If you did not receive an email contact Emily on or the number listed below.

This is a timely reminder of the strength in numbers that comes from being a member of the United Services Union. We ask that you encourage your colleagues to join us; or by referral to your Delegate or Organiser.
