2025 Edna Ryan Award winner, Liza Buckley of Blacktown City Council, accepting her Award


36 years (and counting). That’s how long Liza Buckley has been a USU member and fearless advocate for women and her fellow workers at Blacktown City Council.

In those years, Liza has recruited countless members, fought for countless more and Chairs the Consultative Committee.

Liza is well known and respected for being a straight shooter who works hard to get the job done without any pretence or messing around.

Congratulations, Liza and thank you for everything you do for your union and fellow members!
