The USU has been made aware that HCF has announced that the Enterprise Agreement (EA) vote will open once again, at 8am on Wednesday 22 August 2018 and close at 6pm on Tuesday 28 August 2018.

Consultation about flexible work arrangements at Virgin
The USU/ASU has been advised that Virgin will shortly be commencing consultations with part-time employees who have flexible work arrangements that limit their work to 3 days a week.

Of the total number of voters, 47.35% voted for the Agreement and 52.65% voted against the Agreement.
Fair Work Commission approves new Virgin enterprise agreement
On Monday 16 July 2018 the Fair Work Commission approved the new Virgin enterprise agreement. This means it will come into force on Monday 23 July 2018.
HCF EA: It’s just not fair
The USU understands that HCF management have held meetings with employees this week outlining the EA terms with an emphasis on current employees being safe under the proposed EA conditions.
