Over $10,500 raised for Lester’s Family

The USU community has once again shown its strength and generosity, coming together to support our colleague and friend Lester and his family.

Through the raffle, an incredible $10,811.22 was raised. Every ticket purchased went directly to Lester’s family, helping to ease financial pressures at a very difficult time.

On Wednesday, 8 October, USU Manager Metropolitan Steve Donley and 2 colleagues visited Lester’s home to personally deliver the funds raised through the raffle.

While Lester was resting, his wife accepted the donation on behalf of their family. The Union extends its heartfelt support to Lester and his family, and thanks every member who contributed to this act of solidarity.

3rd Prize: Philip West – $300 Visa gift card

In a touching gesture, Stanley, our 1st prize winner, has generously requested that his prize, the signed Bulldogs jersey, now be raffled to raise even more funds for Lester’s family. Details will be announced soon.
