You have a right to have a union representative present in formal workplace conversations.
The USU understands that a number of members have been lured into an office on false pretences and interrogated by HR around their work satisfaction and other areas of workplace performance.
You are not required to answer these types of questions. If this occurs, it is advised that you politely decline to answer and terminate the conversation. Then immediately contact your union delegates or USU Organiser.
If HR or management want to meet with members to discuss workplace matters, they can do so by making a formal meeting request with appropriate time for you to arrange union representation.
If you have any questions or concerns, contact your delegates Brendon Ford, Nigel Marion and Kate Lowe or alternately phone USU Organiser Mick Jones on 0450 020 589.
