It’s time for our Essential Energy members to have a say about what they would like to see in the New Enterprise Agreement.

Negotiations for the Essential Energy Enterprise Agreement 2021 and Essential Energy Far West Agreement 2021 will be commencing shortly and the USU needs to know what matters to you and what you would like us to bring to the negotiating table.

You can do this by completing the survey online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Essential-Energy-EA

Please complete the survey by Thursday 6th May at 10am.

Your responses will be collated and presented to the Bargaining Table for negotiation.  Any confidential responses will only be viewed by USU Officials and Delegates and not tabled to management.

Your input is important for us to get a better understanding of what matters to you so we can achieve the best possible outcome for USU members at the Essential Energy.

The USU will keep you informed regularly on the progress of the negotiations and will be regularly conducting report back meetings in lunchbreaks via Zoom.  We will notify of any upcoming meetings to attend.

You will have also received a notice from Essential Energy about Representational Rights.  Please remember that you do not need to indicate that you wish for the USU to Bargain on your behalf as we are already parties to the current EA and automatically are Bargaining Representatives for you.  However you may wish to nominate a co-worker or yourself.

If you wish to become a USU Bargaining Representative you can do so by filling in the Bargaining Questions at the end of the survey attached.  You will have the support of your Organiser who will be at the bargaining table with you as well as the resources from your union.  The USU will notify the Essential Energy that you are a USU Representative and will arrange all the necessary time you need with management to be able to represent your co-workers in the negotiations.

If you have any questions you can contact your Organiser Melissa Pond at mpond@usu.org.au or mobile 0408 620 741 who will be happy to talk to you about this.

The Combined Unions will be conducting a Paid Meeting in Port Macquarie at the Westport Club at 12pm on Tuesday 11th May.  For all other members, you can join the meeting by clicking on the link here at the same time.  Please remember this is a paid meeting but please notify your Manager that you are attending this meeting.

Please remember that Unity is Strength so if you are not a member and wish to join you can do so online at www.usu.org.au/join.
