After an exhaustive drafting process your National Negotiating Team intend to hold meetings of members this week to discuss the final version of our new EBA which we will recommend should be endorsed by USU/ASU members and should go out formally to all staff on 24th October 2016.
The USU/ASU, ALAEA and Individual Bargaining Representatives met as a Bargaining Committee with Emirates on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th October, to continue negotiations for the next Emirates Agreement.
Qantas staff have voted overwhelmingly to endorse the EBA 11 deal negotiated and recommended by the USU/ASU’s Qantas National Negotiating Team.
Negotiations so far have been slow. As we are getting closer to the expiry date of our current agreement, the Union believes things will soon speed up. The company’s position can be summarised as being about reducing ongoing costs and retaining complete control over any future change. There are three main pushes from NSW Electricity Networks.
