The USU is launching a new campaign to win better rights and protections for workers experiencing reproductive health challenges and we want to hear from you.

The United Services Union is proud to launch a new campaign to push improved rights and protections for workers experiencing a range of reproductive health conditions.

Reproductive health needs affect workers of all genders and ages. From menstrual health, menopause and endometriosis to fertility treatments, miscarriage, reproductive surgery, and preventative care, and many other conditions. They can take a serious physical and mental toll and often make it difficult to work safely and comfortably.

What are we fighting for?

The USU is fighting for all members across local government, clerical and administration, energy, utilities and airlines to have access to improved rights, such as:

  • 10 to 12 days of paid reproductive health leave per year
  • Stronger protections and flexible work options to support members managing these health needs

How can you help? Take the Survey

We’ve launched a confidential 10-minute survey to better understand our members’ experiences and shape our campaign.

The survey asks about:

  • Your experience managing reproductive health at work
  • Whether you’ve used leave or other supports to manage reproductive health needs
  • What workplace rights would help
  • How reproductive health is seen in your workplace

Why your input matters

This survey isn’t just about data, it’s about visibility, education and change. By taking part, you’re helping the USU fight for reproductive health to be treated as the genuine workplace issue it is – not something to suffer through in silence.
