USU/ASU members spoke to the Senate Inquiry into the Future of Aviation today.

USU delegates Claudine Tenana, Anna Maria Saglimbeni, and Bruce Rogers represented airline workers because they knew airline workers’ experiences of the impact of COVID-19 needed to be heard by those in Canberra.

Tonight we are meeting over Zoom to update airlines members at 7pm AEDT – can you join us?

Lots of industries are getting back to work and coming through COVID, but for us in aviation COVID-19 has had a devastating impact.

It’s clear that it will take airlines longer to bounce back than other parts of the economy.

Our industry is highly skilled and we are experienced at our jobs. But without income support and a wage subsidy for our industry the aviation sector will not be able to Keep Australia Flying when the country is ready to fly again.

Come along to our airlines meeting tonight for an important update in our Keep Australia Flying campaign.
