In March Dr Trayden Miller-Mundine, a member of the Baryulgil Devils Descendants rugby league team presented USU President Sharon Sewell with a jersey in thanks for sponsoring their team at the 52nd annual Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout carnival in Bathurst last year.

We will frame the jersey and proudly display it in our Sydney Office.

WHAT IS THE KOORI KNOCKOUT?

With over 30,000 attending, the Koori knockout is the largest rugby league carnival in the world and one of the largest gatherings of indigenous people internationally. We are proud to have sponsored the Baryulgil Devils who have over 70 years of rugby league history.

Held in Bathurst on the October long weekend it is a major sporting event which is watched live across Australia. The USU was proud to sponsor the Baryulgil Descendants.

THE CLUB HAS OVER 70 YEARS OF HISTORY

The club boasts a proud history dating back to the 1950s. In recent years the club was unable to participate in the League tournament until 2015. Recognising the significance of reconnecting with these important events, the club believes their commitment to participate in this carnival is paramount. The USU is pleased they could assist in the Club meeting this important priority.
