The Union is seeking to employ an Industrial Officer to work in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector for a period of 6 months, beginning in March, 2025. The position is based in the Union’s Head Office at Level 7, 321 Pitt Street, Sydney.

The position will work specifically on issues involving the Early Childhood Education and Care centres run by local governments in NSW. The work will be conducted primarily from the Union’s Pitt Street Office in Sydney, with some flexible work arrangements available, and the possibility of some regional travel, along with requirements to attend meetings and hearings throughout the Sydney Metropolitan area.

The position will include developing and implementing organising plans, supporting members through industrial representation in workplace settings, the industrial commission, and courts, and workplace bargaining. The Industrial Officer will also help develop and implement strategies and policy recommendations for the union to pursue in the political sphere for the benefit of our members.

Salary will be $121,180.75 annually (pro rata for term of employment), paid weekly, plus 12% superannuation.
