Once again the time has come for Greater Bank USU members to start thinking about what needs to be improved/changed/modified in relation to your employment conditions.

Greater management has advised the Union that they intend to start the negotiating process for a new Enterprise Agreement (EA) in the near future and recently you would have received notification about your Bargaining Rights and nominating someone to represent you in negotiations.

USU members DO NOT need to nominate a representative as the Union is your “default” representative – meaning we will bargain on your behalf.

Your Union officials are experts in Enterprise Agreement negotiations and regularly negotiate Agreements with Local Councils, Call Centres, Health Funds, Building Societies, Mutual Banks and many other clerical and administrative employers.

We have the technical knowledge required to ensure our members’ entitlements are protected and wherever possible improved.

Your USU Officials will work with Greater management to achieve the best possible outcome for you and during negotiations we will be updating Union members on the progress made and seeking your views on proposed changes before we agree to accept and changes to your conditions of employment.

You and your fellow workers know how things work on a day to day basis and by providing us with information we can tailor our discussions with management.

Therefore we are also seeking expressions of interest from USU members who would like to assist the USU officials by becoming part of the USU Negotiating Team.

You will represent your fellow USU members throughout the process including attending meetings, conducting some research and discussing issues with Union members. Simply provide your details on the survey and we will contact you shortly.

If you are interested in assisting your USU Officials or just have questions regarding the EA process contact your USU Officials:
