The matter surrounding Ausgrid’s proposed re-locations has been formally placed into dispute; Ausgrid were advised of dispute proceedings yesterday, 10 October.

In placing the matter into dispute, your Union has taken the position that Ausgrid have made a definite decision and is obliged to consult with you and your Union in accordance with clause 39 of your Enterprise Agreement.

Further, in notifying them of the dispute, your Union has highlighted the particular unrest amongst members regarding the proposal to re-locate the Wallsend Administration Building into the Newcastle CBD.
