Last week Kiama Council made the shameful decision to sell Blue Haven Care after 40 years of service to the community.
This is a blow to the Kiama community and the hard working workforce who have made Blue Haven one of the favoured age care services in our region. Yesterday the USU joined residents and the community in taking this message to Council’s Extraordinary Meeting.
The USU urged Council to support a rescission motion and start consulting with the community and be transparent. While the sale is still on the cards we will not stop our fight to keep Blue Haven in public hands. Find out more here.
