A 9-day fortnight trial is a significant win for workers in the City of Sydney Cleansing and Waste team.
Members voted on Wednesday, 10 July 2024 with overwhelming support for the implementation of the trial. This agreement highlights members persistent efforts to improve workers’ health, family life and job satisfaction.
On behalf of members, your Union advocated for adjusted start and finish times to reduce travel time, reducing fatigue and allowing staff to have more time with their family. Additionally, staff will receive paid lunch breaks to remain with their vehicles during their shift.
