After strong and supportive feedback from USU members and delegates, City of Parramatta Council has expanded access to NAIDOC Week leave beyond the Local Government (State) Award.
In a welcome step forward, members who have an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander immediate family member can now access leave to attend NAIDOC Week events with their families.
This improvement recognises the importance of NAIDOC Week for many workers and their families.
The USU congratulates our members and delegates at City of Parramatta for this respectful and meaningful outcome.
