May Day 2020
May 1, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
May Day, or International Workers’ Day, is a time when people around the world come together to celebrate workers. A time to acknowledge the struggles and determination of workers striving for a better world. The theme of this year’s May Day is Value all Workers and Join Your Union.
This May Day, we have an opportunity to ask ourselves, what do we want our economy and social fabric to look like after COVID-19? This is our chance to rebuild an economy which is fair for all Australian workers.
This year’s May Day will be held online. Speakers will include Sharan Burrow ITUC, Sally McManus ACTU, Mark Morey UnionsNSW and we will hear from workers about their current struggles.
Plus much more including:
- Kids Art Competition – read more here >
- World-renowned writer, Thomas Keneally
- Music from Brad Bros
