As previously reported, your energy officials and delegates were heading into a busy period of bargaining and that has indeed been the case!
Transgrid will be taking a non-endorsed Agreement to vote at the end of July as they continue to try and low ball members to the point that USU members in Transgrid have engaged in industrial action for the first time in over two decades.
Unfortunately, for reasons beyond our control, negotiations at Endeavour Energy have stalled to the point of impasse. Whilst your Union has been able to secure new conditions that will be of benefit to members, other outstanding items bring the parties to the point of impasse. That said, the parties to the negotiations continue to look for a way forward so as to deliver fair and reasonable outcomes to members.
Lastly, your union has been negotiating with Ausgrid for nearly four months and, to this point, things are progressing well when having regard for previous protracted negotiations that were hard fought. As with Endeavour Energy, your Union has been able to secure new conditions that will be of a real benefit to members, however, it remains to be seen where we land on the items that remain outstanding.
