What makes me happy at work?

It is often presumed that a worker’s mental illness develops outside the workplace. However an ‘unhealthy’ work environment or a workplace incident can cause considerable stress and exacerbate or contribute to the development of mental illness.

To improve the Mental Health awareness in workplaces, the United Services Union is embarking on a “What Makes Me Happy at Work?” campaign.

Our campaign will focus on what triggers can cause Mental Health issues at work.

The United Services Union aims to take action to provide support as well as preventative strategies for employees to create a Mentally Safe and Healthy Workplace.

We will also be taking action on behalf of our members to negotiate clauses in Enterprise Agreements targeted towards better support for Workplace Mental Health.
